We require a $300 non-refundable deposit to reserve your Colony which you can pay by email transfer, at our shop on Saturdays or pay in full directly from our website. Balance of $375 is due before pick up.

As a member of the Nova Scotia Beekeepers Association and a commercial operator within Nova Scotia we share in the desire to ensure sustainable and responsible propagation of honeybees and education of those interested in entering the industry, be it commercial or hobbyist.

In order to purchase live bees from Tuckamore Homestead we require a purchaser to confirm:

1. Your BK Number.

2. Review the NSBA’s Code of Ethics, confirm a commitment to not place an apiary within 3kms of another established apiary.

Pick up dates will be determined 1 week in advance, colonies are available for pick-up on your scheduled date between 7:00am - 9:00 am only.
