Mouse in the House: 24 Easy Elf on the Shelf Ideas

Here at the farmhouse we don’t have an Elf on the Shelf that visits, we have a mouse in the house! Four to be exact.

They are more so leisurely beings compared to the elves but we love them all the same.

Here are 24 easy elf on the shelf, or mouse in the house, ideas for Christmas, 2020. Some photos below, I will be adding as December unfolds.

I also coordinate many of the mouse activities with Theodora’s (our toddlers) Christmas Book Advent.

Mouse in the House-24 Easy Elf on the Shelf Ideas, 2020

  1. “We’re Back” our mice were hanging out in their little box they sleep in with a note “squeak squeak squeak”, too. According to mouse translation, they left ‘do not touch’ instructions as well as a little hello.

  2. Paint Activity-I picked up a small white mouse decoration for the tree from Michael’s with some grey paint and brushes for Theodora to paint; a gift from the mice.

  3. Sleeping-mice snuggled up in boots or slippers with a scarf used as a blanket

  4. Stairs-mice sliding down stair banister (packing tape works well)
